We are looking for live audiovisual performances, vj sets, interactive installations and workshops proposals from artists, practitioners, thinkers and makers involved in LIVE VIDEO.
This year we aim at investigating and presenting some specific strands of live video practice.

The IX edition of LPM is in Rome from 19th to 22nd of may.

LPM – Live Performers Meeting is one of the leading events of live video, audiovisual performance and new media arts. Taking part in LPM represents a unique chance to be involved in four days of av performances, vjing, workshops, panel discussions, product showcase with an amazing community of vjs, audiovisual artists, new media practitioners and thinkers worldwide!

The 2010 edition at Brancaleone in Rome registered 301 artists from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, France, Israel, Switzerland, Poland, Taiwan, Hungary, United States, Austria, Greece, Brazil, United Kingdom, Spain, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Portugal, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand, Turkey, Latvia.

Live Performers Meeting 2011 Rome and Minsk, Belarus

I’m glad to publicly launch the forthcoming 2011 editions of LPM – Live Performers Meeting, international meeting of live video performers, visual artists and vjs, focused on live video performances and live media.
Next year Rome will host the first event in May, while we’ll move to Minsk, Belarus in September for a second edition with our partners Cinetrip and Vision’r Festival.

Recently my timing is so bad… A couple of weeks ago I had an interview with Penelope.di.pixel for Artsblog.it.
Our conversation focused on LPM – Live Performers Meeting – an annual international gathering for live media artists we organize in Rome.
Also this year we hosted more than 300 hundred artists and 200 performances in 4 days, check the photo and video gallery here.

LPM – Live Performers Meeting: international meeting of live video performers, visual artists and vjs is back with a new 8th edition.

Rome 2009 edition, registered the presence of 362 artists from Italy, Portugal, France, Germany, Canada, Hungary, United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, Uruguay, Latvia, Switzerland, Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Mexico, Greece, Denmark, United States, Austria, Australia, Turkey. During four days, 289 performances, workshops and showcases gave life to the 900 square meters of Brancaleone, setup with 15 projectors and screens.

For the second consecutive year, LPM takes place in an exclusive location, the long-standing Brancaleone that with its structure, perfectly fit the growing needs of a meeting which year after year has definitely broadened its range of contents, artists and audience.

The new edition is coming soon, and we only miss your contribution!

Unexpectedely this year we had an incredible amount of contents from 26 countries: 374 artists from Italy, Spain, Uruguay, Germany, Turkey, France, United Kingdom, Argentina, Portugal, Mexico, Canada, Poland, Deutschland, Hungary, Latvia, Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, United States, Austria, Australia, Macedonia, Bulgaria playing 287 performances, workshops and showcases.

LPM 2009 – LIVE PERFORMERS MEETING

LIVE VIDEO PERFORMERS, VISUAL ARTISTS AND VJ MEETING
28 29 30 31 May – Rome

LPM – Live Performers Meeting: international meeting of live video performers, visual artists and vjs is back with a new (seventh) edition.

From 28th to 31st May 2009 the brand-new location of the event will be the Brancaleone one of the places which created large part of the cultural history of Rome, since its opening in the 1990.
The multi-purpose structure of Brancaleone will be hosting four days of workshops, showcases and live-video performances, it will become a space where to explore diverse forms of art, connecting professionals, beginners and passionates in order to contribute in the creation of a unique event in its kind.

The Rome 2008 edition, followed in September by a special mexican edition, registered the partecipation of 257 artists from: Algeria, Argentina, Austria, France, Germany, Japan, Guatemala, UK, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Hungary. 142 shows and performances gave life to the 900 square meters of the Macello IV – Mattatoio di Testaccio, setup during the four days with 13 beamers and Maxiscreens.

The new edition is coming soon, and we only miss your contribution!

Pics LPM Mexico ’08

In september 2008 we were in Mexico, organizing the first latino-america edition of Live Performers Meeting – international meeting focused on audiovisual live performances, new sounds and vjing. It was “our” 6th edition but the first one outside of Italy, a great challenge for us of FLxER Team.

Trought many difficulties and a lot of energy and passion we finally built the event and we can consider ourselves pretty satisfied of the final result. The answer of the Mexican, Latino-American audiovisual artists has been amazing and we already accepted the help of many of them to build toghether the next mexican edition. Above all we are glad that all the artists and passionate involved in the developing of the meeting have experienced a unique time-space where to share knowledges, techniques and much more. Everyone showed us a great love, energy and will to build a network that can reach all the other countries over the ocean.

The content of the event has been really good, we had to manage an incredible amount of great projects, but take a look by yourself at the pics of the event and all the infos about the artists at this link:

LIVE VIDEO PERFORMERS, VISUAL ARTISTS AND VJ MEETING

LPM – Live Performers Meeting: international meeting of live video performers, visual artists and vjs is ready to launch its first edition in America Latina!

For the first time LPM moves over the ocean from 4th to 6th September to meet the broad part of south-american community, who has always followed the meeting and the FLxER community since its first initiatives.

The Escuela Gestalt de Diseño and the MUTYE – Museo del Transporte y Exposiciones in Xalapa (Veracruz, Messico), will be the venues of this sixth edition of LPM.

LPM 2008 maintains the spirit of a meeting, which has been its main characteristic since the first edition. It is conceived to be a place for comparison and exchange of informations and ideas between vjs, visual artists, live-video performers and passionate of arts and digital technologies who usually meet in the “virtual” space of the net.

LPM is a no-profit organization and experimentation is one of the founding elements in our ideology, for this reason all the saved founds from the previous editions of the meeting are invested in the most innovative technologies to support the Event and to enhance the research activity in the live visual field.

LPM – Live Performers Meeting: international meeting of live audio/video performers, visual artists and vjs is back with a new (fifth) edition.
From the 29th of may to the 1th of june 2008, in the padiglione 9C of the Ex Mattatoio of Testaccio in Rome, there will be workshops, showcases and live-video performances, but most of all, a space created to explore the artform and connect the practitioners making it happen.

The 2007 edition had 295 artists registered from the following countries: France, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Poland, United Kingdom, Hungary, Austria, Turkey, Argentina, Portugal, Mexico, Macedonia, Israel, Lithuania, Australia, Croatia, Yugoslavia, Serbia, Algeria. 26000 visitors during the 4 days of the meeting and the preview at Palazzo delle Esposizioni.
